Wheel of Blame ("we", "the app") is a client-side web application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data is and is not collected when you use wheelofblame.app.
All wheel state — including names and blame scores — is stored exclusively in the URL hash of your browser. It never leaves your device unless you choose to share the URL with others. Shared URLs contain only the names and numbers you entered; no device identifiers, location data, or metadata are included.
We use Google Analytics (GA4) and Microsoft Clarity to understand aggregate traffic and engagement patterns — for example, how many people visit the site, which theme they pick, whether they spin the wheel, and (via Clarity) anonymized session recordings and heatmaps of how the interface is used. This data is not used to identify you personally. Full cookie-based tracking only runs if you accept cookies via the banner shown on your first visit; if you decline, Clarity falls back to a cookie-less mode and Google Analytics does not store data. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to change your choice.
We display third-party advertisements through Google AdSense. AdSense may use cookies or similar technologies to serve relevant ads, subject to the same consent choice described above — if you reject cookies, ads are served in a non-personalized, cookie-restricted mode. Please refer to Google's advertising policy for details. You can opt out of personalised advertising via the NAI opt-out tool.
Google Fonts are loaded from Google's servers to render the app's typography. Google may log the request. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Wheel of Blame is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
We may update this policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
